Is mold remediation successful?
Mold remediation is usually deemed to be successful if no visible mold remains and if no smell of mold is present. Active mold left under encapsulated areas can grow again, so it is important to kill all mold before painting or whitewashing.

What Can You Expect During Mold Remediation?
We follow strict guidelines at Raleigh Mold for every mold remediation project. We take all precautions to make sure you, your family and our workers are safe including:
- Isolation of mold containment area. This entails sealing off the contaminated area from the other parts of the house. This is done by closing all windows and doors. Other openings are sealed using six mil polyethylene sheeting. The sheeting seams are then sealed using duct tapes.
- Control airborne spores. This is done by misting the contaminated spots.
How do you know if mold is remediated?
A visual inspection of the area that has been remediated should show no evidence of present or past mold growth. There should be no moldy or musty odors associated with the building, because these odors suggest that mold continues to grow.
How likely is mold to come back after remediation?
It is feasible for mold to return after remediation, but only if you fail to find the resource of moisture developing the mold issue. As soon as that problem is dealt with, mold remediation will certainly keep mold from returning to that area.
Is it safe to live in a house after mold remediation?

If the crawl space is being remediated, it is ok to be in the home. We use a hydrogen peroxide product which does not have a strong smell. We also utilize negative air removal to move the crawl space air outside while this product is being applied.
What time of year is best for mold remediation?
It really does not matter what time of year. Mold is a threat and it is best to remove it as soon as possible! The longer it remains or is unattended, the longer it grows. By not removing mold contamination, it can cause structural and health problems, as well as other unintended consequences.
